After MISO stakeholder meetings, COMPP will make available timely written reports to all participating COMPP member companies and affiliate developers focusing primarily on those proposals and issues brought forward at MISO impacting the merchant power business model such as competitive wholesale energy and capacity market design, market mitigation, seams issues with PJM and SPP, interconnection process queue reform and transmission planning/cost allocation.​

Regularly scheduled bi-weekly conference calls with COMPP companies as a group to discuss current issues of interest, related strategy, FERC regulatory filings, topics at the MISO Advisory Committee before the MISO Board and state level activities related to the Organization of MISO States.​

Assistance in developing written comments and feedback to MISO, whether it be for individual COMPP member companies or COMPP as a whole, regarding proposed changes to market design rules associated with MISO Tariff filings, Business Practice Manuals, Rate Schedules, Joint Operating Agreements and Attachments. This will include those ongoing changes and reforms affecting the generator interconnection queue process.​

While attending MISO stakeholder meetings, COMPP will cast votes by proxy on motions made during these meetings on behalf of each individual COMPP member companies in accordance with those policies and procedures specified by MISO regarding timely notice of proxy in advance of these stakeholder meetings. (Note: The proxy voting process will require communication and coordination between each COMPP member companies in advance of the meetings generally by phone or email between the individual member companies, the Services Provider and MISO.)​

COMPP will arrange and facilitate two in-person COMPP member company strategy meetings per year during those weeks when MISO holds their Advisory Committee and Board meetings outside of Carmel, IN. (Note: In the past these meetings have been held in New Orleans, LA in March and St. Paul, MN in August). Other strategy meetings can be arranged in Carmel on an as needed basis.    

COMPP will offer guidance and assistance in developing the IPP Sector Hot Topic comments for the Advisory Committee to the MISO Board.  

Subject to the provisions of the IPP/EWG Governance Guide, COMPP can provide representation on behalf of the IPP Sector at MISO’s Advisory Committee meetings.
